1. Information we process

Mochi Battery does not require you to create an account. However, depending on the features you use, the app and its third-party service providers may automatically process certain technical and usage information.

This information may include:

  • Device type, model, operating system version, language, and app version.
  • App installation or instance identifiers.
  • General app usage events, feature interactions, and session information.
  • Crash, diagnostic, or performance information when supported by configured services.
  • Advertising identifiers or similar device identifiers, where permitted by the platform and your settings.
  • Ad impressions, clicks, interactions, and advertising performance information.
  • Purchase status, product identifier, transaction state, and subscription or entitlement status.
  • Battery level or charging status needed to display battery-related app features.

Battery information used to render widgets or floating battery displays is primarily used for app functionality.

2. Firebase Analytics

Mochi Battery may use Firebase Analytics, a service provided by Google, to help us understand how users interact with the app and to improve features, reliability, and user experience.

Firebase Analytics may process information such as:

  • App opens and sessions.
  • Feature usage and screen interactions.
  • Device and operating-system information.
  • App version and installation information.
  • Approximate geographic information derived by the service, where applicable.
  • Advertising identifiers or app-instance identifiers where allowed.

Information processed by Firebase is subject to Google's applicable privacy terms and controls. The exact data processed may depend on the Firebase features enabled in the app and the user's device settings.

3. Advertising

Mochi Battery may display advertisements through third-party advertising services. Advertising providers may collect or process information to deliver, measure, limit, or personalize ads, depending on the user's consent, device settings, region, and applicable law.

Advertising-related information may include:

  • Advertising identifiers.
  • IP address and general network information processed by the advertising provider.
  • Device information and app version.
  • Ad impressions, views, clicks, and interaction data.
  • Consent choices and privacy signals.
  • Approximate location inferred from IP address, where applicable.
Where required, the app may request consent before using personal data for personalized advertising. If personalized ads are not permitted or selected, non-personalized or limited ads may still be displayed.

Third-party advertising providers operate under their own privacy policies and may act as independent data controllers or service providers depending on the circumstances.

4. In-app purchases

Mochi Battery may offer paid features, one-time purchases, subscriptions, or other in-app products.

Purchases are processed by the platform store, such as Google Play or Apple's App Store. We do not directly collect or store your complete payment-card number, bank account information, or other full payment credentials.

We may receive and process purchase-related information needed to unlock or restore purchased content, such as:

  • Product or subscription identifier.
  • Purchase or transaction status.
  • Purchase token, receipt, or entitlement information.
  • Whether a purchase has been restored, refunded, canceled, or expired.

Payment and billing information processed by Google Play or Apple is governed by the respective platform's privacy policy.

5. Android permissions and foreground service

Display over other apps

If you enable the floating battery feature on Android, the system may ask you to grant display-over-other-apps permission. This allows the selected battery badge to appear above other apps. You may disable this permission at any time in Android Settings.

Foreground service

Android may require Mochi Battery to run a foreground service while the floating badge is active. This service is used to keep the visible floating battery feature operating reliably.

Home-screen widgets do not require the display-over-other-apps permission.

Other permissions

The exact Android permission set may change as advertising, analytics, billing, or app functionality is updated. Permissions requested by the app should be limited to those required for enabled features and configured SDKs.

6. Local storage and preferences

Mochi Battery may store preferences locally on your device, including:

  • Selected battery character or style.
  • Widget configuration.
  • Floating-badge preferences.
  • Theme or appearance choices.
  • Feature onboarding state.
  • Purchase or entitlement state needed to unlock features.

These preferences are used to remember your choices and provide the app experience you selected.

7. Third-party services and data sharing

We may share or allow processing of information with service providers that help operate app features. Depending on the final production configuration, these may include:

  • Google Firebase services for analytics and app measurement.
  • Advertising providers used to display and measure ads.
  • Google Play Billing for Android purchases.
  • Apple App Store / StoreKit for iOS purchases.
  • Other infrastructure or SDK providers added in future versions.

We do not sell personal information for monetary payment. Advertising providers may process data for advertising purposes as described above, subject to consent and applicable law.

8. Data retention and deletion

Local app preferences generally remain on your device until you clear the app's data or uninstall the app.

Analytics, advertising, and purchase-related information may be retained by the relevant third-party provider according to its own retention policy and legal obligations.

Because Mochi Battery does not currently require a user account, there may be no central account record for us to delete. If a future version introduces accounts, this policy will be updated with account deletion instructions.

9. Children's privacy

Mochi Battery uses cute characters and visual designs, but this does not necessarily mean the app is directed specifically to children. The app's intended target audience should be defined in the applicable app-store declarations.

If the app is made available to children or mixed audiences, we will apply the relevant platform and legal requirements for advertising, analytics, consent, and data processing.

Important: if you select children as part of your Google Play target audience, your ad SDK configuration, personalized advertising settings, and Data safety disclosures must comply with Google Play Families requirements.

10. Security

We take reasonable steps to reduce unnecessary collection and protect information handled through the app. However, no electronic storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Third-party services used by Mochi Battery are responsible for protecting information processed through their own systems.

11. International processing

Third-party providers such as Google may process information on servers located in countries other than your own. Where required, those providers use appropriate legal mechanisms for international data transfers.

12. Your choices

Depending on your device, region, and applicable law, you may be able to:

  • Disable the floating overlay permission in Android Settings.
  • Reset or restrict your advertising identifier.
  • Choose whether to allow personalized advertising when a consent dialog is shown.
  • Clear the app's locally stored data.
  • Uninstall Mochi Battery.
  • Manage or cancel subscriptions through Google Play or the Apple App Store.

13. iOS differences

The iOS version may provide a different feature set because iOS does not support Android-style floating overlays above other apps. iOS widgets, analytics, advertising, and purchases may be implemented using platform-specific APIs and SDKs. This Privacy Policy applies to the iOS version where those features are available.

14. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when features, SDKs, advertising providers, billing systems, legal requirements, or data practices change. The updated version will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
